CORPS RECAP - MONTH OF SEPTEMBER

WOW! This sure has been one heck of a busy month, from marksmanship to our first day back, September has been full of events. Did I mention that we now have more new Cadets than the amount of Cadets that were in Warspite last training year? September was just a small piece of the cake though, with a lot more coming in the months ahead. This article will summarise all if not most, of what Cadets did during September.

Warspite Open House

The Warspite Open House played an integral role in the sheer amount of new Cadets we got, helped us connect with youth and community members and had free food! The Open House also helped with the registration, administration and questions of new Cadets and parents. People are pictured above at the Warspite Open House above. (24-09-03)

First Training Night of the Cadet Training Year

Our First Training Night Back was a welcome back for many returning Cadets, while on the other hand, it was many new Cadet's first time at Warspite; a flip to the first page of a book that is the journey of Sea Cadets. Petty Officer Second Class Mehta is pictured above receiving his award for attending the Brigs Youth Sail Summer Experience in Hamilton. Many other Cadets got awards too, read the article! Onboard Overnight Training Weekend

Cadets did Marksmanship practice, theory, safety and Biathlon practice. A Cadet is pictured above aiming at an Air Rifle at a Target. (24-09-28)

Cadets got to sleep overnight, play video games and watch a movie in the Legion building next door. Cadets are pictured above in the Legion preparing to sleep overnight. (24-09-28)

And that was September, don't you agree a great start to the Cadet training year? This month was especially important for all of the new Cadets, who got a glimpse of all of the training, fun and food yet to come. Thank you for reading all of the September-related articles, get ready for tens more as the training year progresses!

Note, that this article does not include normal training nights, drill practice, marksmanship practice and some other events.

My favourite part about September was the Open House, what about you?
